3D & SimulationSurface Operators
Null
A transform group that publishes its frame even with nothing wired, so it works as an invisible parent.
The Null node is a parent. Point any operator's Origin Object at it, or wire surfaces into it, and they follow its transform.

- Nulls nest
- Works empty, as a rig point
- Found in the node graph under Surfaces → Geometry
The image on the right is the example patch itself. Drag and drop it onto the app, or load it with File → Load, to open the full graph. A sphere rotated and lifted by its Null.
Inputs and outputs

| Port | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Surface 1, 2, … | Surface | Optional children. |
| Origin Object | Surface | A Null to parent to. |
| Surface | Surface | The children, transformed. |
Parameters
- Position X / Y / Z, Rotate Heading / Pitch / Roll, Scale X / Y / Z, Uniform Scale — the standard transform block.
Every slider has a per-parameter animation bar, so it can be animated, audio driven, or MIDI mapped.
Examples
Camera rig — a Camera with its Origin Object on a Null, then animate the Null.
Troubleshooting
Nothing shows — an empty Null renders nothing on its own. That is expected.
